The CEO of Starlett Entertainment, organizers of Starlett
Awards, Miss Nkem Alan has revealed that they had to put the online voting on
their website (www.starlettentertainment.com) on hold because of some system
errors that would have marred the credibility of the voting process ahead of
the awards billed for December 2016.
Speaking just two days after the commencement of the
voting, Miss Alan said that there were lots of complaints from nominees and
their fans as it concerns voting in the various categories. She added that
after reviewing the complaints, they had to put the voting on hold to ensure
that everything is fixed before it could start again.
Miss Alan however, apologized for the inconveniences the
pause would be causing the nominees adding that everything they are doing is
for the greater good of the project.
“It is something we have to do after our team reviewed
most of the complaints we received. We are really sorry because we understand
this will be causing a great deal of inconveniences on our nominees.
“We want to assure everyone that Starlett Awards is a
merit award and what we are doing is to ensure that it stands like that. We
want to also discourage multiple voting as all of it will not count in any way.
We have a very good computer analysts who are monitory the voting on daily
basis and that is why we have chosen a duration of just seven days (one week)
for it, after which the result will be forwarded to our judges” she said.
The Business Developer and Strategist further stated that
the voting will only count for 50% of the points for the award, while accomplishments,
quality of contents and other criteria will be taking the other 50%.
She begged everyone to be calm as they are working to fix
the situation to serve them better. She then announced that a fresh voting will
be starting on Thursday, September 15,
2016 to end on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 all by 12:00am. She added that
the fresh voting meant everyone will be on zero and it will be so because of
some upgrades on the voting system.
